Current Newsletter Information for Youth and Community:
Summer is for fun and games and the R.U.M.Y. (Rhodes MEmorial Youth) has some exciting activities planned for the coming months. In the planning stages are a combined camping trip with Yeagertown Youth, a tubing trip to Poe Paddy, and a lock-out at Kish Park. However, the springtime is more than just planning for great summer events. The youth are reflecting on the importance of new life, specifically regarding the youth in our communities and all around the world. We are excited to present a new ministry to the congregation called "Invisible Children."
We are ready to join a movement to stap war in northern Uganda, in which, children are being abducted by the "Lord's Rebel Army" and trained as soldiers. We have had several showings of the movie. If anyone is interested in watching it, please contact the church office or Jon & Amanda.
